A big portion of self-defence training should be what happens before you need to use physical force, awareness of dangerous situations, how to avoid them, how to spot the subtle cues before an attack by recognising grooming or verbal escalation rituals, how to destroy an attackers plan by with the right words make him multitask while you are executing your own pre planned and practiced action and be ahead on the OODA loop. This is a subject than many don’t train or even are not aware of its importance. We spend time on this and give our students tools to think about what plan they would choose, how to practice it themselves everyday, find a solution that is congruent with their own moral view.
