Libre Fighting Knife Assualt Project Part 1 (knife defense, disarm, mart...

This is the most controversial topic in martial arts, if it’s possible to realistically defend yourself against knife attacks. He argues very well for his point of view, but having pressure tested against all kinds of knife attacks, my own personal experience is that it varies from individual fighting experience. My own fail rate against beginners is 0- max 20%, against very high ranking knife trained martial artist 20-30%. I have had the luck to duel with training blades against Grandmasters and Masters of various FMA systems and never lost in a knife to knife duel, were the rules are simple one head or body hit you loose, get hit on the leg you go down on that leg, get hit on the arm with the blade if you don’t switch hand in a second you loose, if hit on arm or leg any other hit you loose. I have trained with a FMA Master that could not parry 80% of my attacks, he could see them but his structure was so bad that his arm collapsed even if he was a lot stronger than me. Empty hand versus knife is a different game but same mindset, do or die, you need to even more determined to win when you have no equalizer against a knife. Against a person who has the right mindset and skillset armed with a knife, you will loose, the only option is to go all out if you can’t run away.
