This is a rare event, normally nobody
helps when they see crime committed, even less if there are firearms involved,
but as in many states in the USA concealed carry of guns is legal, is the
single factor that made it possible for a civilian to save a police officer
from being murdered by a deadly intervention that started with a verbal warning
but ended with the use of deadly force to stop the murder.
